Channel construction on Jalan Bougenville RT 02 and 03 RW 01 Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, which conducted since last Wednesday (10/6), is targeted to be completed next week.

This channel is made to anticipate inundation in rainy season

Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Hendri stated, in making that 16-meter channel, his side used 10-inch paralon pipe which planted 90 centimeters deep and 50 centimeters wide and connected it to manhole.

"This channel is made to anticipate inundation in rainy season," he added, Monday (10/11).

In addition to building channel, his side also repaired damaged parts of the manhole, as well as replaced and painted the cover.

"We deploy 7 personnel to build the channel. This work is targeted to be completed next week," he explained.
