Total 387 cubic meters garbage were successfully transported from Manggarai Sluice Gate, Jalan Tambak, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (10/20).

At 11:00, we have finished transported all garbage from Manggarai Sluice Gate

Central Jakarta Water Body Unit Head, Fakhri Andhiko mentioned, garbage collected at Manggarai Sluice Gate had increased drastically from 3 AM. The garbage was carried by Ciliwung River.

"When we are informed about sluice gate condition in Depok, we, at Manggarai Sluice Gate, have anticipated it in accordance with applicabl e SOP," he stated.

His side quickly collected garbage since morning by deploying three heavy equipment, 7 dump trucks consisting of 4 large trucks, 2 small trucks and 1 ten-wheeler dump truck (tronton).

"At 11:00, we have finished transported all garbage from Manggarai Sluice Gate with total 387 cubic meters," he explained.

In this cleaning, his side collected various types of waste carried by the water flow, such as plastic waste, wood, bamboo, mattresses, wardrobes, household waste and others.
