Three European Elite Football Clubs will Enliven JIS Launch

PT. Jakarta Propertindo/Jakpro (Perseroda) invited U-19 players from best European clubs, namely Juventus, Barcelona, and Real Madrid to enliven soft launching of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on December 10.

PT. Jakpro President Director, Widi Amanasto said, JIS development progress had reached 76.51 percent on 111th week or experienced positive deviation of 0.58 percent from weekly target. His side predicted JIS construction progress can reach 90 percent by December 2021.

"Stadium with seating capacity of 82,000 will be directly used for international friendly match on December 10, 2021. U-19 players from Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Juventus will compete against Indonesia All Star at JIS," he stated, Friday (10/22).

North Jakarta Government is Committed to Support JIS Development

This match, he assessed, will be in the spotlight of football lovers, not only in Indonesia, but also in the world. Regarding attendance of spectators during the match, PT. Jakpro will adjust to the pandemic condition and PPKM implementation.

"If possible for spectators to watch the match, we plan to sell ticket online. We will also see the situation during PPKM. Whether inviting limited number of people or going online, we have got everything ready," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission E Deputy Chairman, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo welcomed the match between famous European U-19 clubs and Indonesia All Star during the soft launch in December 2021.

"Plan to invite well-known European U-19 clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus will certainly enliven sports in the midst of pandemic and encourage the arrival of foreign and domestic tourists," he expressed.

He appreciates JIS development progress which is running according to plan. He hoped the activity can be carried out in December to support JIS operation.

"We really appreciate the rapid development progress. I remember very well that the progress was not much before, but today we see that it is almost 80 percent. We hope it can be finished according to target in December, so later we will be able to carry out activities," he mentioned.
