The Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) development project, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta has gained Platinum Greenship certification from the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) certification body. That means JIS is now predicated as an eco-friendly building or called green building.
Since the beginning of development, the concept has its judgment, including at the current stage of development
PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Corporate Manager Communication, Melisa Sjah said, to achieve it had gone through a series of processes and a number of assessors' valuation of the predetermined indicators.
JIS Construction Progress Touches 52.5 Percent
"Since the beginning of development, the concept has its judgment, including at the current stage of development. Based on these points, the points obtained until last week passed the highest level verification, namely platinum. Seeing this, we have met green building predicate," she expressed, Friday (4/16).
She explained the valuation was based on six greenship parameters, namely, Appropriate Site Development (ASD), Building Environment Management, Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Indoor Health and Comfort, Material Resources, Cycle and Water Conservation.
"JIS is the first stadium in Indonesia that carries the concept of sustainability. That means this achievement must be maintained regularly," she explained.
She went on to say that green building aimed at reducing the negative impacts on the environment and human health that arise from the construction process to the use or operation of a building. Hopefully it could go as it should and as expected.
"We must maintain it until the final valuation by ensuring that the stages for all criteria are realized in the field, starting from the physical building to the operation of implementing green building, such as energy efficiency, water conservation, and material resources," she uttered.
