Progress of connecting bridge construction on Jl. Pete, Cilangkap, Cipayung, East Jakarta has reached 60 percent. The construction work has been started from August and targeted to finish in November.

Based on observations on the field on Monday (10/25), workers were seen assembling iron as cast-concrete frame for bridge girder. While the foundation underneath has been installed using drill pile. This bridge is built above Cilangkap Connecting (Phb) Channel, precisely on the west side of Giri Kencana Reservoir and on the border of RW 02, 04, and 06 Cilangkap.

According to him, this road was repaired because it was severely damaged with holes on the left and right sides. Even, the bridge is often flooded when Cilangkap Connecting (Phb) channel overflows.
"The construction has been carried out since August and targeted to finish by the end of November," he added.
He informed, this bridge has length of 7 meters and width of 3.6 meters. His side elevated the body of the bridge as high as 50 centimeters thus no garbage get stuck on the bridge when water discharge is high. Besides, when inundation occurs, the bridge will be not flooded again.
"We uses cast concrete to make it stronger. Then, we install railing on the left and right sides," he conveyed.
He said, there are no crucial obstacles in building the bridge. But he needs to stop the work when there is heavy rain. He hopes the construction which costs around Rp 900 million to be completed on time.
