Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta has prepared evacuation sites for 150 residents in RW 03 and 04 affected by flooding, on Monday (11/1) night.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Arroyantoro said, the river started to overflow at around 5 PM. Initialy it was only 20 cm high but continued to rise about 60 cm.
Not long after, he was immediately contacting the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency to evacuate locals using two rubber boats.
"Evacuations sites are now set up at Al Muqorobin Mosque, RW 03 and in the front of RW 04 Post. But they will be moved to the Borobudur University Hall," he expressed.
According to him, since 6 PM to 7:45 PM, people kept coming to the evacuation site. Based on temporary data, 50 took refuge in the Al Muqorobin Mosque and 100 other evacuated to a police tent in the front of RW 04 Post.

To evacuate the refugees, as many as 50 joint personnel were still on standby as of tonight. They were assigned with monitoring water levels, evacuation teams, guarding the urban village office for preparing logistic, etc. Most came from elements of the urban village ASN, Satpol PP and PPSU.
