PPSU Deployed to Clean Up Mud After Flood in Cipinang Melayu

If it is done, it will be continued with spraying mud

Some 30 PPSU personnel have joined a cleanup effort in Cipinang Melayu, Makasar, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/2). They come to help local residents affected by the flood that occurred on Monday (11/1) afternoon.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Arroyantoro said, as the initial stage, it was carried out on the main road passed by cars, as well as bridges and water channels.

"Afterwards, we will move to the small alleys of residential areas in RW 03 and 04," he said.

To support post-flood handling, he explained, as many as four motor carts and one operational car had also been deployed to the location. They were used to reach small alleys. PPSU also brought broom sticks, hoes, cangkrang, dustpan, machete, saw, water scoop and so on.

"If it is done, it will be continued with spraying mud. The electricity doesn't go out, so locals can also spray mud from their respective houses," he concluded.
