North Jakarta Secretariat Inaugurates Cilincing Fisherman's Village

We want the people here to become entrepreneurs who are successful in utilizing seafood into processed foods to improve the living standards of fishermen's families

North Jakarta Administration Secretary, Abdul Khalit, inaugurated Cilincing Fisherman's Village. Its inauguration took place in the courtyard of the Al-Alam Mosque, Jalan Cilincing Lama, RT 02/04 Cilincing Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.

He appreciated PT PLN for providing assistance through the corporate social responsibility (CSR) program for structuring and progress in the Cilincing Fisherman Village.

Kelapa Dua Island to Become Fishermen Village

"Through CSR, there will be development of the economic sector of the Cilincing fishing community through training in processed seafood, assistance with bathing, washing and latrine facilities (MCK) and garbage bins," he expressed, Friday (11/5).

In the meantime, PT PLN Manager for Customer Service Implementing Unit Marunda (UP3), Joko Tri added, Cilincing Fishermen's Village program is a form of corporate social and environmental responsibility.

"We want the people here to become entrepreneurs who are successful in utilizing seafood into processed foods to improve the living standards of fishermen's families," he explained.

Cilincing Fisherman's Cooperative Chairman, Hendi positively welcomed the training. It was very good idea.

"We want the caught fish to have more economic value and last longer to be sold. It takes innovation to sell fish not only in the form of wet fish, but can be packaged in various preparations such as crispy puffed fish," he said.
