South Jakarta Satpol PP Confiscates 2,265 Liquor Bottles

In a week, from October 22 to 29, 2021, joint personnel of South Jakarta Satpol PP, TNI and Police have brought order and confiscated 2,265 bottles of liquor.

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Ujang Harmawan conveyed, his side confiscated those bottles from stalls, shops, and jamu (traditional medicine) traders in an operation to enforce public order in 10 sub-districts.
"The legal basis is to monitor and control alcoholic beverages in order to create a conducive, save, and peaceful South Jakarta," he mentioned, Saturday (11/6).
Dozen of Liquor Bottles on Tidung Island ConfiscatedSouth Jakarta Satpol PP's PPNS and Enforcement Section Head, Daniel Hutajulu stated, his side not only confiscated liquor bottles, but also arrested 53 liquor sellers and charged them with minor crimes.
During minor crimes trial at South Jakarta District Court on November 5, 33 perpetrators were present at the trial and 20 were absent. Those who didn't attend had been subject to pay fine Rp 8,820,000. While total fine that should be paid by 33 perpetrators who were present at the trial was Rp 10,773,000.
"Liquor collected from conducting operation in five regions of Jakarta will be destroyed in mid-December at Monas," he informed.
