Garbage and Mud Left After Flood in Kampung Melayu Cleaned

We send them (joint personnel) in order to accelerate post-flood response

Around 25 joint personnel have been alerted to clear garbage and mud left after flooding in Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (11/9).

Kampung Melayu Urban Village Head, Angga Harjuno said, those joint personnel were from East Jakarta PPSU, Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, as well as Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency. Their focus was RT 13/RW 04 and RT 10 and 11/RW 05, as the thickness of the mud reached 15 centimeters.

Flood on Jalan Mangga Besar Raya Has Receded

Especially in RW 07 and 08, they had dried up early and had passed through cleanup process carried out by locals assisted by PPSU personnel on Monday (11/8) noon until yesterday late afternoon.

"We send them (joint personnel) in order to accelerate post-flood response," he said.

To get maximal results, he deployed a floating pump to the location. "It is targeted to be complete today," he stated.
