Hundreds of Vehicles Undergo Emission Test at Jakarta Mayor's Office

Until 1 PM, there are already 700 vehicles that want to take part in the emission test

Around 700 two- and four-wheeled vehicles took an emissions test at the North Jakarta Mayor office in a bid to improve air quality in the capital.

Environmental Impact Pollution Control and Supervision Division Head, Evy Sulistyowati said, it refers to the Gubernatorial Regulation number 66/2020 on Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests.

317 Vehicles Undergo Emission Test in Central Jakarta

"Until 1 PM, there are already 700 vehicles that want to take part in the emission test," she expressed, Thursday (11/11).

Of 700 vehicles, 300 were two-wheeled vehicles and 400 were four-wheeled vehicles.

"We are assisted by three workshops using seven emission test equipment," he explained.

According to him, vehicles that pass the test will get a certificate, which is valid for one year. As for those who fail the test should undergo regular servicing until they pass the test.

"To anticipate the loss of a certificate, vehicle owners can access the e-Emission Test application which can be downloaded via Play Store," he stated.
