2,645 Medical Oxygen Cylinders Donated to North Jakarta

This assistance will certainly further ensure the fulfillment of medical oxygen needs in North Jakarta healthcare facilities

The North Jakarta administration received as many as 2,645 one-meter-cubic medical oxygen cylinders from PT Indonesia Power, Priok Power Generation and O&M Services Unit (POMU).

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim expressed his appreciation and grateful to PT Indonesia Power for collaborating to assist the government in meeting urgent needed medical oxygen needs during Covid-19.

"This assistance will certainly further ensure the fulfillment of medical oxygen needs in North Jakarta healthcare facilities," he expressed, after the symbolic handover of assistance at PT Indonesia Power office, Jalan RE Martadinata, Ancol Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district, North Jakarta, Thursday (11/18).

Eventually, the assistance would then be coordinated through Pademangan Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for distribution.

"The oxygen will be delivered periodically within one year," he explained.

PT Indonesia Power President Director, M Ahsin Sidqi added, his company's main production is electricity production while the medical oxygen is the result of innovation through a hydrogen machine that can produce a by-product in the form of oxygen, which is processed into medical oxygen.

"This is our concern through corporate social responsibility (CSR) program to assist local governments in meeting the availability of medical oxygen, especially during pandemic," he explained.

Through this innovation, he hoped that it could also become a laboratory or research place for academics, especially students in the development of medical oxygen.

"We invite students to also learn about the development of this medical oxygen production to met medical oxygen needs in Indonesia. InsyaAllah similar innovation would also be applied at PT Indonesia Power in other regions in Indonesia," he continued.

As for the information, he also provided assistance in the form of 26 infantometers as a tool for early detection of stunting in children.
