Jakarta Teams Up with Bali - PSF to Succeed 2021 International Youth Championship

The success in tackling the Covid-19 outbreak carried out by Jakarta and Bali administrations has stimulated the economy and supported the tourism industry in Jakarta and Bali. It is reflected in the soft launching program of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which marks Indonesia's slowly rising tourism activity.

Welcoming soft launching of JIS, they are collaborating with Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) through International Youth Championship (IYC) 2021, where the All Star Indonesia U-20 team will play against the top three Spanish La Liga teams, namely Real Madrid U-18, Barcelona U-18, and Atletico De Madrid U-18.

Those administrations ask and hope that all players and officials from the world's giant clubs who are present can provide testimonials and become a source of information for Indonesia's success in curbing Covid-19.

"We are very happy and enthusiastic about collaborating with Bali and PSF in the IYC 2021 program, as well as part of the soft launching of the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). JIS is JIS is an offering from us to all Indonesian people as a new symbol of collaboration, inclusiveness, sustainability of urban regeneration and the economic revival of Jakarta," expressed Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, in the Bali - Jakarta International Youth Championship Press Conference and Towards the Night of Our Stadium Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (11/18).

The recovery of tourism industry in Jakarta and Bali is increasingly rolling with the opening of several tourist attractions. It is one form of saving the regional economy that has been hit hard by the pandemic. Yet, loosening existing access makes the form of handling Covid-19 given more stringent, as health is still the main priority.

"We appreciate the initiative to organize this soccer tournament. This is in line with sport tourism which we really need to support and generate tourism. Hopefully, it can be a role model in football development for young children in Indonesia, especially in Bali and Jakarta," said Bali Governor, Wayan Koster, at the same event.

Aside from preparing infrastructure, there are also various synergistic programs related to the development and education of young Indonesian soccer athletes. The event is a form of coaching and educating young Indonesian soccer athletes.

Pancoran Soccer Field (PSF) Chairman, Gede Widiade added that the series of IYC 2021 group phase matches would be held at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, on December 4-8.

"This year, teams from abroad are willing to compete in Jakarta for very fundamental reasons. It is because, in Jakarta, there will be a soft launching of a stadium that has an international reputation, namely JIS," he uttered.

JIS is an international standard stadium that will facilitate the needs of big events by offering new experiences for all elements of society and becoming an important part of Jakarta's transformation.

So, this year's International Youth Championship program is expected to be a new milestone for Indonesian football in the eyes of the world, as well as a historic start for the birth of a new icon of pride for JIS stadium.
