Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency completed the construction of connecting channel along 337 meters on Untung Jawa Island, RT 02/02, Untung Jawa Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri conveyed, the connecting channel was made to connect 15 residents' houses using PVC pipes to each manholes before being channeled into channel on the collector road.

"We carry out the construction from November 11 and finish it on November 20," he informed, Monday (11/22).

According to him, connecting waterway on residents' houses to channel on collector road can prevent household wastewater from flowing into their yards and gardens, which causes puddles and unpleasant odors.

"We deploy 4 personnel to build connecting channel," he mentioned.
