Channel along Jalan Percetakan Negara Cleaned

The water channel alongside Jalan Percetakan Negara, RW 09, Rawasari Urban Village, Cempaka Putih Sub-district, Central Jakarta was cleaned from mud and garbage by PPSU, on Thursday (11/18).

This is done, as rain has started to get intense, especially the location is prone to flooding

Rawasari Urban Village Secretary, Kris Daryanti said, the garbage itself was dominated by plastic, chunks of stone, logs and so forth.

"This is done, as rain has started to get intense, especially the location is prone to flooding," she expressed.

Channel on Jalan Tebet Timur Dalam VIII Dredged

In the field, she deployed around 10 personnel to clean up mud and garbage from the channel. They managed to pick up as much as 7 cubic meters.

"This garbage is there after being carried away by water currents when it rained a few days ago. We also had difficulties with the existence of utility cables during cleaning," she said.

By doing so, she hoped that the channel could accommodate rainwater in large quantities in order to anticipate flooding.
