Ariza Hopes Market Digitization Brings Benefits for MSMEs and Residents

Jakarta Vice Governor, Ariza Patria attended the launching of JakOne Abank and SIAP QRIS Program (Healthy, Innovative and Safe to Use-Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) at Santa Maket, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Thursday (11/25) morning.

Starting today, JakOne Abank and SIAP QRIS can already be used in buying and selling transactions at Santa Market, South Jakarta

This market digitization program was held collaboratively by several agencies led by Bank Indonesia together with Bank DKI and Perumda Pasar Jaya BUMD owned by the Jakarta administration.

He hoped that it could support the program to accelerate regional financial access through financial digitization. As known, the market has become one of the centers of people's economic activity, a place to distribute goods produced by producers, as well as for transactions between MSMEs and the community to meet their daily needs.

"Starting today, JakOne Abank and SIAP QRIS can already be used in buying and selling transactions at Santa Market, South Jakarta which is managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya. Surely, we support it to support market digitization and realize Jakarta Smart City 4.0," he explained, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He went on to say that it would provide benefits to MSMEs in terms of more transparent and convenient financial management, as well as residents in terms of ease of transaction, especially amid Covid-19 pandemic.

"As the name implies, SIAP QRIS represents healthy, innovative, and safe to use. We have made various efforts for market development in Jakarta through revitalizing traditional markets into modern markets that provide comfort to Jakartans and its surroundings," he continued.

There are several advantages to adopting digital payments for businesses and MSMEs, namely (1) providing a variety of payment method options by utilizing financial digitization, (2) expanding the reach of the business, such as helping consumers find promotions and information about the nearest merchant from their location easily, and (3) obtaining systematic financial reports for business actors, as through digital payments, the effectiveness and circulation of business finances becomes more stable through transaction reports that are more systematic and can be received in real time.

At the same time, he also appreciated the collaboration of Bank DKI with Perumda Pasar Jaya and Bank Indonesia in a bid to present innovations in digital payment services. Hopefully, the program could soon be implemented in ± 151 markets throughout the capital city under Perumda Pasar Jaya.

"Hopefully it is capable of benefiting Jakartans and MSMEs and realizing Jakarta as a developed city for happier people. Our thanks to Bank Indonesia and OJK for continuing to develop digital services. May Allah make it easy for us and our efforts," he closed.

Bank DKI President Director, Fidri Arnaldy uttered that JakOne Abank is an officeless banking service, where Bank DKI is present through an agent using a Mobile Point of Sale (MPOS) device for paying taxes and levies, including paying bills. By becoming JakOne Abank, customers/traders who become agents can serve various banking transactions from the public and earn commissions from each transaction.

"We will synergize with all markets under Pasar Jaya. MSMEs must digitize and Bank DKI is ready to support. Hopefully it can bring benefits, especially for MSMEs and residents who make it easier to transact in the market through digital banking services and is an application for Smart City 4.0 Jakarta as a Collaborating City," he hoped.

As for the information, the launching was also attended by Bank Indonesia Governor Assistant, Filianingsih Hendarta; Banking Supervision 3 and Licensing of the Financial Services Authority Deputy Director, Herlina Tampubolon; Bank Indonesia Regional Representative Office Head, Onny Widjanarko; Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin; South Jakarta KADIN Chairman, Akhmad Lafranta Siregar; as well as representatives of Santa Market traders and Bank DKI customers.
