Governor Anies Launches Disability-friendly Digital Service, DINA

To commemorate the 2020 International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Jakarta administration together with PT MRT Jakarta has launched a friendly digital service facility for persons with disabilities called DINA (Digital Intelligent Assistant) at HI Roundabout MRT Station, on Friday (12/3).

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan when inaugurated the facility stated that the administration was committed to provide equality for residents, including in facilitating community groups with disabilities.
"This is because some of our people need special services, especially people with disabilities," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He explained that people with disabilities involved in facility planning to support what their needs, moreover they had different treatments. Aside that, if they are one of the vulnerable groups facilitated, thus most people will also be facilitated.
"This is because they are not only a variety of species but also in each type there is a different spectrum. We want all spectrums to be facilitated. So, we always say, if the four elements of society consisting of people with disabilities, elderly, children and women are facilitated, surely it will also support other elements of the people," he explained.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar explained, DINA had installed three stations, namely Lebak Bulus Station, Blok M, and HI Roundabout. He said, all stations would also have it.
"This initiative is the first in Indonesia, and in the world there are only three countries that have implemented it, namely United States, Canada, and Hong Kong," he explained.
"This is an initiative based on the experience of serving passengers so far. They have transformed it into a technology that can serve all customers but is very disability-friendly, because with video call technology, the operator in charge of the operation center at HI can communicate directly with friends with disabilities," he closed.
