RPTRA Vlaboean Inaugurated Today

Jakarta TP PKK Chairperson, Fery Farhati inaugurated Vlaboean Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) on Jalan Dermaga, Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta.

This RPTRA is laboratory for PKK activities, learning place for local residents, including children. This place is always awaited by residents

The RPTRA with an area of 1,000 square meters was realized through collaboration work between Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency and PT. Hanwha Life and Wahana Visi.

She mentioned that RPTRA as a center for learning, training, and development, as well as reference from various groups of activities in supporting implementation of TP PKK main program which is essentially a basic human need.

"This RPTRA is laboratory for PKK activities, learning place for local residents, including children. This place is always awaited by residents. All of this can be realized because of cooperation and collaboration of many parties. Jakarta is city of collaboration, RPTRA is a form of collaboration between government, private sector, and community," she said as quoted from written statement on Monday (12/6).

According to him, RPTRA can be used to carry out activities holistically, such as children playground and place for their development, and as a part of Child-Friendly City (KLA).

In addition, RPTRA can be used for public interest as a means and infrastructure for partnership between government and communities in meeting the needs of children's rights, as green open space, and as a place for groundwater absorption.

"RPTRA can be also a means for social activities, including for PKK cadres knowledge and skill developments. I welcome RPTRA Vlaboean," she conveyed.

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati informed, RPTRA Vlaboean is the 324th RPTRA managed by Jakarta Government.

"There are 253 RPTRAs built using APBD and 71 RPTRAs built using corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund," she added.

She explained that RPTRA was built in order to provide an integrated public space equipped with physical activities where it can be functioned to provide services and activities, especially local community and children. Thus RPTRA can be place for children to grow and develop, as well as place for social activities for local residents.

"This RPTRA is equipped with integrated service post (Posyandu), children's library, sport center, playground, and place for children's creative activities," she stated.  

In addition, there are also public services that can be accessed in RPTRA, consisting of 10 PKK main Program, PKK-Mart, community activities that don't have the potential to cause damage to parks and/or existing infrastructure and facilities, sports, and arts.

"There are also other services, such as communication services or activities, education about disaster, disaster signs, temporary shelters for post-disaster services and trauma healing," she closed.
