The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed the construction of retention ponds locally known as kolam olakan in Amiterdam RPTRA area, RT 02/03, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.
These ponds will also help officers to do water suction
Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said, the ponds were made in the size of 2.5 meters with 2 meters and 50 centimeters. They also completed with three drainage controls measuring 60 centimeters length with 90 centimeters width and 50 centimeters depth.
"Alhamdulillah, our job is done. The ponds have three drainage controls plus covers. They are painted with yellow and blue colors for a neater look," he expressed, Monday (11/29).
Three Retention Ponds Built in Block N Park CipayungAccording to him, it aimed to overcome tidal waves in RT 02/03, around Amiterdam RPTRA and futsal field, as well as to increase the capacity of the existing drainage controls and infiltration wells.
