Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency collaborates with Jakarta TP PKK to give training for all Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) administrators and Pokja 1 PKK Cadres in every urban villages in optimizing RPTRA and Family Information Center and Consultation (PIK) to be Friends of Women and Children Post (Pos SAPA).

PA Unit of Polda Metro Jaya, National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan), Communication and Information Ministry, Jakarta TP PKK, and experts.Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati said, the materials provided in the training included policies and programs related to protection of women and children. Next, Polda Metro Jaya gave materials related to legal aspects, while Komnas Perempuan was about handling cases of violence against women.
PPAPP Agency Optimizes RPTRA through SAPA Post"For materials from TP PKK, apart from synergy and collaboration between TP PKK and RPTRA, it also gives material about counseling techniques and relation between family resilience and violence. We want RPTRA administrators and Pokja 1 PKK in Pos SAPA to have an ability or capability to receive reports, listen reports, and follow up reports to UPT P2TP2A," she stated, Monday (11/1).
She expected Pos SAPA in RPTRAs would bring services closer to the community. Thus it is easier to reach and encourages people to have courage to report when they see, hear, or experience acts of violence.
"So far, based on data, most violence reports from 19 existing Pos SAPA in RPTRA are around 60 percent. RPTRA is considered strategic and effective in presenting Pos SAPA because it is located in the middle of community. Therefore, we need to improve the competence of our human resources through this training," she conveyed.
For information, Pos SAPA in all RPTRAs in Jakarta can be an initial reference for families around RPTRA to obtain communication, information, and education services related to violence.
Through Pos SAPA, RPTRA's function can be also developed as a means of education, initial referral for violence cases and place for public consultation to address various life problems, especially for women and children.
