Prepare Your Umbrellas, BMKG Forecasts Rain Today for Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour Jakarta area on Tuesday (12/7).

Beware of rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit parts of South, West and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon

"Beware of rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will hit parts of South, West and East Jakarta at noon and in the late afternoon," stated BMKG's official site.

At noon, West and South Jakarta will see rain with moderate intensity; light rain in Central, East, and North Jakarta; cloudy in Thousand Islands.

Five Mobile Pumps Alerted to Overcome Tidal Waves in North Jakarta

In the evening, light rain will fall in North Jakarta and Thousand Islands; cloudy in West, Central, South, and East Jakarta.

Entering at dawn, rain with moderate intensity to cover skies of West, North Jakarta and Thousand Islands; light rain in Central, Soutu and East Jakarta.

Temperatures in five regions and Thousand Islands are predicted at 24 to 31 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 69 to 95 percent.
