Joint Forces Picked Up 15 Tons of Trash from Under Kalibata Bridge

Led by South Jakarta Mayor, Syamsuddin Noor, 500 joint personnel from South Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department and TNI/police cleaned up the trashes stuck under Kalibata Bridge, Rawajati Urban Village, Pancoran Sub-District, Tuesday (2/12). This activity was started at 8 AM.

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, trashes like wood, tree branches, and houses wastes were stuck under the bridge. After being picked up, a total of 15 tons of trash were collected by the officers.
“Trashes that got carried away from upstream were piling under the bridge. This is the role of the three pillars (local administration, TNI, and police) to clean up flood prone area, conducted as an example to the citizens to be motivated in maintaining environment cleanliness,” stated South Jakarta Administration Economic Assistant, M Anwar, Tuesday (12/2).

“We deployed six dump trucks. There are about 15 tons of trash were managed to be picked up by the officers, then directly dumped to Bantar Gebang,” he told.
