455 Personnel Prune 338 Trees in Five Regions of Jakarta

Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Agency deployed 455 personnel to carry out tree pruning in five regions of Jakarta.

It is an effort to prevent fallen trees or broken branches that could be happened due to extreme weather and rain accompanied with strong wind

Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Agency Head, Suzi Marsitawati mentioned, 455 PJLP personnel were deployed simultaneously to prune 338 trees in total 29 points, consisting of 12 points in Central Jakarta, 12 points in South Jakarta, 3 points in East Jakarta, 1 point in North Jakarta, and 1 point in West Jakarta.

"Not only pruning trees, they also check condition of trees using Arborsonic," she added in tree pruning activity at Lapangan Banteng, Saturday (12/18).

Her side also deployed 12 ladder cars, 5 crane cars, 73 dump trucks, 15 pickup cars, and 171 chainsaws.

"It is an effort to prevent fallen trees or broken branches that could be happened due to extreme weather and rain accompanied with strong wind," she explained.

From January to November 2021, her side had pruned 96,237 trees. The highest pruning frequency was in August-November with total 36,379 trees.

Central Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda stated, in this pruning, her side deployed 70 personnel equipped with 10 trucks, 1 crane car, and 16 chainsaws to prune trees in 8 sub-districts. It included Lapangan Banteng, Gunung Sahari, Menteng, Jalan Batu, Kramat Sentiong.

"From total 12 points in Central Jakarta, 8 points are under our authority while four others are under the agency," she conveyed.
