Vaccination at HKBP Menteng Targets 600 Children

The Menteng Sub-district Puskesmas and HKBP Menteng Church on Jalan Jambu No. 46, RT 05/02 Gondangdia Urban Village, Menteng, held Covid-19 vaccination service using Sinovac to children aged 6-11, on Monday (12/27).

It will last for ten days ahead with a target of 60 children per day

"Our target is actually 5,213 children but now it has reached 57.8 percent or around 3,013 children. It will last for ten days ahead with a target of 60 children per day," expressed Menteng Sub-district Puskesmas Head, I Gusti Ayu Rusmala Dewi.

She hoped that parents could support and include their children to get vaccines at vaccination centers provided by both government and private. She added, it was safe. as before being vaccinated, the children would first be checked for health. It was only given to children in good health.

HKBP Menteng Secretary, Susi Panjaitan said, the collaboration aimed at supporting and succeeding the government's program.

"This is held for first shot. As for second shot, it will also be opened soon. Hopefully, residents can use it well," she hoped.

Ester (40), one of parents admitted that she agreed with the child vaccination service as it could increase endurance and immunity in children to avoid exposure to Covid-19.

"The reason I chose vaccination here is because I didn't have to wait long. After being vaccinated, my child also received a gift and was happy," she said.
