PPKUKM Agency Starts Metrological Service for UTTP Equipment Calibration and Recalibration

Jakarta Industry Trade Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency has started Metrological Calibration and Recalibration Service for Weighing Doses and Its Equipment (UTTP) 2022 in line with inauguration of Tera Signature Cap (CTT).

PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo said, in providing metrological services, especially calibration or re-calibration, CTT is needed as a sign of guaranteeing truth of UTTP in accordance with Trade Minister Regulation number 115/2018 on Legal Metrology Unit.
According to Trade Minister Regulation number 125/2018 on CTT, CTT was specially designed and made of certain materials with predetermined shapes, materials and uses, consisting of valid calibration marks, cancel calibration marks, regional marks, guarantee marks and entitled employee marks.

UPT Metrology Head, Nurhidayat added, the PPKUKM Agency received 111 CTTs from Home Ministry in 2022, consisting of 38 valid marks, one void sign, 23 guarantee signs and 15 initials of entitled employees.
"It is affixed to the tested UTTP," he explained.
According to him, the high affixing can cause damage to CTT. Based on PPKUKM Agency records, there were CTTs damaged last year, consisting of six guarantee signs of lightly damaged plombir and seven heavily damaged.
"It will be used in metrological service activities, such as recalibration of scales, re-calibrating of measuring pumps at gas stations and calibrating household water," he said.
