North Jakarta Mayor Asks People to Anticipate Omicron Transmission

North Jakarta Mayor, Ali Maulana Hakim asked all apparatuses and residents to be aware of Omicron COVID-19 variant transmission.

We want to save residents, especially children because Omicron is highly infectious

One of his efforts is to provide protection by optimizing COVID-19 vaccination, including for children aged 6-11 years.

"We want to save residents, especially children because Omicron is highly infectious. Therefore, COVID-19 vaccination should be accelerated," he asserted, Tuesday (1/11).

Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of January 10, 2022

Based on available data as of today, there are 13 people in North Jakarta who are known to have been exposed to Omicron variant of COVID-19.

"As many as 10 people traveled abroad, 2 local transmission cases from outside Jakarta (Medan) and 1 local transmission case from North Jakarta resident. We have carried out tracing, testing, and treatment as best as we can," he said.
