PT. Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) will plant 20,000 trees in Pulogadung Industrial Estate area in this year. Number of trees that will be planted is double from last year, consisting of productive and protective trees.

PT. JIEP Finance Director, Adhi Sanjaya said, 20,000 trees will be planted in several areas in Pulogadung Industrial Estate area, such as road medians, main roadsides, vacant land/areas that are currently not being utilized.
"Last year, 10,000 trees were planted in Pulogadung Industrial Estate area. We are trying to restore the function of green open space. Apart from water absorption, trees can provide shade and cleaner air," he conveyed, Thursday (1/13).

"The more trees planted, the more positive impact on air quality in Jakarta," he asserted.
He informed that PT. JIEP will also cooperate with tenants in Pulogadung Industrial Estate area to be involved in this tree planting activity as in previous years.
"We want Ecogreen to be not just a mere jargon, but in real action. Even internally, Ecogreen is included in KPI for environmental management, by inviting tenants operating in Pulogadung Industrial Estate area to collaborate," he explained.
