Entering 123rd Week, JIS Construction Project Touches 93.85 Percent

Entering 123rd week, the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) construction on Jalan RE Martadinata, Papanggo Urban Village, Tanjung Priok Sub-district, North Jakarta has touched 93.85 percent. The progress shows positive deviation of 2.7 percent from the initial target.

Hopefully, all works will be completed, installed well, all systems can be tested and functioned in mid-March

JIS Project Manager, Arry Wibowo conveyed, the work is now focused on completing the existing facilities in the main stadium, such as installing spectator seats and finalizing other supporting interiors.

"Several works are in progress, especially in the main stadium. We are currently finishing the field area, in the middle of the main stadium. For tribune area, so far we have installed 30 thousand regular tribune seats, both tier 1, 2, and 3. Hopefully, the seats installation will be completed in February," he said.

His side is currently working on transparent ETFE membrane roof, paralleling the installation for retractable roofs.

"Hope all works will be completed soon to be tested and functioned in mid-March, especially its system Thus, stadium roof can be opened and closed," he stated.

According to him, construction of VIP and VVIP room, players changing room, press conference room, and media room had been completed.

"Other facilities such as lights and professional sound system that supports stadium have been installed, including one of two scoring board LED monitors with size 15x30 meters. Even, we have tested them and they work well," he explained.

He is optimistic that the grand launching of the stadium with a capacity of 82,000 spectators will be held at the end of March 2022.

"Around February 5-12, we will hold a soft launching for International Youth Championship. God willing, the construction work will be completed in March," he asserted.
