Jakarta Distributes Aid for Earthquake Victims in Pandeglang

The Jakarta Government has sent logical assistance and tens joint personnel to assist earthquake victims in Pandeglang Regency, Banten. Total 9 trucks containing logistical assistance departed from the Jakarta BPBD office, on Jalan Kyai Haji Zainul Arifin, Petojo Utara, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Acting Head (Plt), Sabdo Kurnianto mentioned, 75 personnel from Jakarta BPBD, Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Agency, Satpol PP, Social Agency, Health Agency, and Communication, Information and Statistic (Kominfotik) Agency were deployed to assist earthquake victims in Pandeglang.

"Aid distribution for disaster victims has often been carried out to help various regions affected by natural disasters. This is a form of collaboration between ranks of the Jakarta Government to help people," he said after leading meeting of disaster management team at Jakarta BPBD Office, on Monday (1/17).

Jakarta Sends Logistical Aid to People in Lumajang, East Java

He explained that the nine logistic trucks contained 26 items such as mattresses, velbeds, foods, tents and other equipment needed by the victims.

"We have also coordinated with Pandeglang Regent, BPBD Unit Head, and Sumur Sub-district Head to repair several houses damaged by earthquake," he stated.
