368 People Get Booster Shots at Jakarta City Hall

As many as 368 people from state civil apparatuses (ASN), PJLP workers and local residents enjoyed booster shot service held at Block G Building, Jakarta City Hall, on Monday (1/17).

Hope the people has high awareness to take booster vaccine shot for maintaining immunity

Employee Health Service Center Unit Head, Endah Kartika Dewi revealed, the service has been ongoing since January 12 with the main target of the elderly in the City Hall environment.

"It has entered the fourth day. From 368, 340 are adults and 28 are seniors. This is because most people already have e-ticket for booster shot," she said.

According to her, it started from 9 AM to 3 PM and was open for the public with Pfizer and AstraZaneca vaccines.

"Today, we use Pfizer. Previously we used AstraZeneca. Vaccine stock is adjusted according to existing availability. Yet we have no target per day as it is opened as much as possible," she explained.

She added, it would be opened continuously until all people in the City Hall environment get vaccinated. Hopefully, it could be completed soon to create better herd immunity.  

Jakarta Law Bureau Head, Yayan Yuhanah added, booster shot is very important to curb the transmission of COVID-19.

"Hope the people has high awareness to take booster vaccine shot for maintaining immunity and preventing transmission to many. Especially in the City Hall environment, most often interact with the crowd," he stated.
