Cempaka Putih Puskesmas Provides Booster Shots for Elderly

The Cempaka Putih Sub-district Puskesmas, Central Jakarta has prepared around 100 doses of booster vaccine type Pfizer for elderly. It is temporarily available at Matahari RPTRA vaccination center, Jalan Rawasari Barat 6, RT 04/01, Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village.

Cempaka Putih Sub-district Puskesmas Head, Murni Luciana Naibaho said, those 100 doses were for the first day. Those who can receive vaccine also have received vaccine tickets via PeduliLindungi application and short messages via mobile phones.

"Booster shot schedule will be popped up after they get vaccine six months after receiving second dose," she expressed, Wednesday (1/12).

According to her, the enthusiasm of the people for this booster vaccination was high. It could be seen from the many who come alone or with their children. She hoped, those who had already got tickets could immediately go to the nearest vaccination center to get a booster vaccine.

Julianti (83), one of elderlies from Cempaka Putih Timur RW 07 admitted that she was excited to take booster shot considering Omicron variant cases continue to increase in Jakarta. She hoped it could really stop the chain of spreading the virus.

"This is our effort to strengthen immunity. I came here after getting information from my child," she admitted.
