Greater Jakarta Eco-enzyme Nusantara Community Chairman, Ketut Budiyanto explained, the eco-enzyme liquid, which is derived from organic waste in the form of fruit and vegetable peel residue, can break down bacteria and viruses in the air and help accelerate wound healing on the skin.

Even, the liquid fermented from organic waste can also be used to clean clothes, dishes, wash hair, rinse, clean floors, bathrooms, toilets, including as fertilizer to fertilize plants.

It is also able to moisturize the face, detox the body, heal boils or cuts, as an anti-radiation, pet cleaner, and so forth.

According to him, the alcohol and acetic acid content in the eco-enzyme liquid produced from the fermentation of organic waste serves as an exterminator of bacteria, dirt and viruses.

"We hope the community is responsible for their organic waste, for example, it can be used to make eco-enzymes, which have many benefits," he stated, on the sidelines of the socialization and education of eco-enzyme fluids at Menteng Park, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (1/23).

Together with Jakarta PMI members, they demonstrated the function of eco-enzymes as disinfectants by spraying the entire area of Menteng Park.

For the ingredients, one bottle of eco-enzyme liquid is mixed with 1,000 milliliters of water, which is put into a 20-liter spray tube.

The benefits of eco-enzymes attracted Maswati (57) to participate in educational and outreach activities at Menteng Park. This resident of Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta admitted, she wanted to know how to make eco-enzymes.

"This is very interesting. Fruit and vegetable waste at home can actually be made into an eco-enzyme solution which has many benefits," she stated.
