Tax Delinquents' Houses will Be Marked

As many as 117 taxpayers in South Jakarta have not paid their Land and Building Tax (PBB) amounting to Rp 52 billion. If they still not paid it until the deadline specified, which is Wednesday (12/10), South Jakarta Tax Services Sub-Department will put up a board written ‘PBB Arrears’ in their respective houses.

They (tax delinquents) must pay their PBB at the latest on December 10. Or else, on December 11 we will deploy collect to put up the marker board

Head of Kebayoran Baru Sub-District Tax Service Unit, Edi Sumantri, disclosed that those 117 taxpayers are spread in Cilandak, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Mampang Prapatan, and Pesanggrahan sub-districts.

“They (tax delinquents) must pay their PBB at the latest on December 10. Or else, on December 11 we will deploy collect to put up the marker board,” he stated, Thursday (12/4).

Ad Tax Cut Up to 50 Percent

According to Sumantri, his party has sent warning letters to those 117 tax delinquents. If they were still stubborn, their obligations will be collected forcibly, which is in accordance to Law No. 19/2000 on Tax Collection with Distress Warrant.

“If the taxpayers still not paying their PBB, we could confiscate their assets,” he asserted.

As for the revenue from PBB sector this year, Sumantri added, South Jakarta Tax Services Sub-Department is targeting Rp 1.1 trillion.
