1,193 Houses in Gambir Have Made Independent Waste Sorting

As many as 1,193 households spread over 25 RWs in Gambir Sub-district, Central Jakarta have now made independent waste sorting.
Hopefully, it can trigger other RWs to do the same thing
Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head, Marsigit said, the waste sorting program from the source is a form of implementation of Gubernatorial Regulation number 77/2020 on Waste Management in Neighborhood.
"For waste sorting in Gambir sub-district, there are 1,193 houses from 25 RWs, while the total of all RWs is 43. This is commendable," he said, Friday (1/28).

Gambir Sub-district Head, Fauzi explained, through LH and KPKP task forces, he had had assessed seven RWs from six urban villages that are active in waste sorting activities and which have green alleys.
He is also going to give appreciation to the best RWs in running the waste sorting program and green alley on February 10 at TPS 3R Ketapang, Jalan Zainul Arifin, Duri Pulo Urban Village.
"Hopefully, it can trigger other RWs to do the same thing," he concluded.
Sri Hartaty (63), a resident of RW 01 Gambir Urban Village admitted that she has been running the program since a year in her house. Besides reducing waste, she could also save money.
"So, once a week, there is an officer who picks up the waste that I collect at home. After being weighed, I saved the money. Every day, I can collect three seven kilograms of waste," she admitted.
