The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started building a retention river or locally called kolam olakan on Jalan Pegangdaan Dua, RW 02 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading Sub-district, North Jakarta.
The work has been ongoing since January 12 and is targeted to be complete in February
Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Citrin Indriyanti said, it was aimed at minimizing inundation on Jalan Pegangsaan Dua, precisely around the PLN Connection Substation (GIS) to Jalan Raya Bekasi.
"This is done, as the area is prone to inundation during heavy rains with varying heights to 30 centimeters depth," she expressed, Friday (1/28).

"The work has been ongoing since January 12 and is targeted to be complete in February," he stated.
