Jakarta Implements 50 Percent PTM Starting Today

To follow up on the letter, the administration had issued Circular Letter number 9/2022 on the Discretion of Implementing Joint Decrees of 4 Ministers Regarding Guidelines for Implementation of Learning amid the Covid-19 Pandemic and effective starting today, Friday (2/4).

"We continue to evaluate PTM activities and follow all instructions from the Central Government and the Covid-19 Task Force. Schools also still give parents/guardians the option to allow their children to take part in Limited PTM or Distance Learning (PJJ)," she expressed, at the Disdik Office, South Jakarta, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Friday (2/4).
According to the circular letter, the administration ensured that the Heads of Divisions, Heads of Disdik, Heads of UPT, Heads of Sub-district Education Executing Units, Supervisors ensured that monitoring, evaluation, and assistance for the limited PTM were effective and complied with health protocols.
"Our main focus is not to let a Covid-19 cluster occurs in schools. Therefore, we strongly emphasize the PTM activities under strict health protocols. Vaccination data as of January 2022, teaching staff reached 91.26 percent, education staff with 89.72 percent, average PTK with 90.49 percent, students aged 12-18 with 96.14 percent, and students aged 6-11 with 58.78 percent," she explained.
As of February 3, the booster vaccination had been given to 675,027 people who consisted of health workers and general public, including educators and students.
Besides coordinating with the Covid-19 task force, the active case finding (ACF) program was conducted through related regional apparatus organizations (OPD) related with education and health to strictly monitor the ongoing limited PTM by conducting PCR swabs to students in order to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 in schools.
