SDA Agency Accelerates Gerebek Lumpur Activities in Jakarta

The Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency continues to dredge reservoirs, retention basins, rivers, and channels through Gerebek Lumpur (mud dredging) activities throughout Jakarta.

Gerebek Lumpur has started since March 2021 and continues to this day

Gerebek Lumpur activities are still ongoing in 59 locations, consisting of 8 locations in Central Jakarta, 10 locations in North Jakarta, 16 locations in East Jakarta, 10 locations in West Jakarta, and 15 locations in South Jakarta.

Jakarta SDA Agency Head, Yusmada Faisal conveyed, it was conducted to increase the capacity of water resources and facilitate water flow to minimize inundation and flood, especially during heavy rains.

"Dredging results vary across 59 locations. Depending on the capacity of each reservoir, retention basins, and channel. Gerebek Lumpur has started since March 2021 and continues to this day," he said, Wednesday (2/9).

Based on data, there are 108 Gerebek Lumpur locations in Jakarta since 2021. Mud dredging work in 49 locations had been completed, while the work in 59 other locations is still ongoing.

• Ciliwung River (Veteran-Juanda): 23 percent.

• Ciliwung River (Inspeksi Kramat Kwitang): 72.7 percent

• BKB Petamburan: 25.6 percent

• Krukut River (Sudirman-Penjernihan): 25 percent

• Dwiwarna River (Jalan Mangga Besar Raya- SPBU Mangga Besar U-turn): 84 percent

• Ciliwung River (Jalan Gadjah Mada): 14.78 percent

• Phb Channel on Jalan Kampung Rawa Sawah, Johar Baru: 82.35 percent

• Poncol Phb Channel, Bungur: 17 percent

North Jakarta

• Belibis Reservoir: 76 percent

• Sunter River (Rawa Badak): 68.14 percent

• Gendong River Cakung Lama (Bulak Cabe): 39.3 percent

• Ancol Lodan River in Alexis Hotel Segment: 89 percent

• Pluit Reservoir: 50.4 percent

• Connecting (Phb) Channel on KBN Jalan Jawa Segment, KBN Sukapura: 12.7 percent

• Pegangsaan 2 Reservoir: 14.5 percent

• Babek TNI Reservoir: 0.1 percent

• TPU Rorotan Reservoir: 10.08 percent

• Warakas Raya Phb Channel: 48 percent

West Jakarta

• Mookervart River: 47.8 percent

• Grogol River (Kemanggisan) segment 2: 9 percent

• Grogol River (Taman Anggrek): 47 percent
