The Seribu Islands Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), opened a regency conference (Muskab) which took place in the Mitra Praja Building Hall, Sunter Agung Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Tuesday (2/15). It was opened directly by the Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi.

According to him, one of the agendas in the Seribu Islands PMI District Deliberation was to elect a new chairman.

"Hope it goes smoo thly and a new chairman is elected democratically and with trust," he expressed.

He explained that the existence of the Seribu Islands PMI has really been very useful in the social humanitarian mission. Many roles had been played when natural disasters occurred, such as the Sriwijaya Airplane crash, where they were involved in assisting the search for victims.

Then in the pandemic nowadays, they also played a role in curbing the Covid-19 through various humanitarian assistance, health protocol facilities, and infrastructure.

"Hope with the new chairman, there will be more synergy and collaboration in humanitarian social missions in Seribu Islands," he hoped.
