Prepare Your Umbrellas, BMKG Forecasts Rain Today for Jakarta

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is urging Jakartans to prepare themselves with umbrellas and rain coats as it predicts that rain will pour Jakarta area on Sunday (2/20).

Heavy rain accompanied by lightning will hit West and East Jakarta in the late afternoon

"Heavy rain accompanied by lightning will hit West and East Jakarta in the late afternoon," stated BMKG's official site.

In the afternoon, West and East Jakarta will see rain with mild intensity; cloudy in Central Jakarta; medium rain in South Jakarta; clear cloudy in North Jakarta and Seribu Islands.

BMKG Forecasts Moderate Shower in Parts of Jakarta Today

In the evening, light rain is expected to pour in West, South, Central, and East Jakarta; while cloudy in North Jakarta and Seribu Islands.

Entering early morning, light rain will fall in West and North Jakarta; cloudy in Central, South, and East Jakarta; cloudy in East Jakarta; and light rain Seribu Islands.

Temperatures in five regions and Seribu Islands are predicted at 23 to 32 degrees Celsius with air humidity of 75 to 100 percent.
