Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of February 21

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of February 21.

The number of people tested last week has reached 362,314

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 6,532 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 65,059 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (2/21).

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 50,722 specimens. 42,099 of them were to diagnose new cases with 5,358 positive and 36,741 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 42,912 were tested, with 3,848 positive results and 39,064 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week. "This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 362,314, while 887,754  people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,055,584 people have been cured with a cure rate of 93% and 14,382 people died with a world with a death rate of 1.3%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.8%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 17%, while in Indonesia was 12%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,395,035 people (122.9%), with a proportion of 70% was residents of Jakarta and 30% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 257 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,378,368 people (102.9%), with a proportion of 72% was residents of Jakarta and 28% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was as many as 10,726 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 1,146,524 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 5,878 people.

Based on the daily reports on February 20, there had been a total fine of Rp 1,950,000 from the raid results during PPKM Level 3 period against residents without masks.

To get the vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as being able to pre-screening online tests.
