Gambir SDA Cleans Up Channel on Jalan Muhammad Ikhwan Ridwan Rais

Total 20 personnel of Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Central Jakarta were deployed to dredge mud from a 720-meter-long channel, starting from T-Junction of Jalan Batu, Jalan Muhammad Ikhwan Ridwan Rais to Ciliwung River next to Arya Duta Hotel.

We dredge it to anticipate inundation

Gambir Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Imawan explained, dredging work was carried out manually. Personnel sometimes have to go into the culvert to dredge the mud.

"This channel has a width of 80 centimeters and height of 1.2 meters with mud thickness of 40 centimeters. We dredge it to anticipate inundation," he stated, Friday (3/4).

Progress of Ciliwung River Dredging Work in Kebon Melati Touches 80 Percent

The dredging work has started a week ago and now the progress has reached 40 percent. Currently, his side used a truck to transport the mud to PLTU Ancol, North Jakarta.

"We are targeting to finish it by the end of March," he conveyed.
