Some 30 joint officers of the East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency assisted by army/police netted 59 traffic offenders at some points during the 2022 Lintas Jaya Operation, on Tuesday (3/8).

So, hopefully, they won't make the same mistake and obey the traffic rules

Supervision and Control Division Head, Riky Erwinda said the operation was targeting vehicles parked in prohibited places, against directions, public transportation that picks up and drops off passengers indiscriminately, and passenger loads that exceed capacity.

Of 59 netted, he explained, 30 were ticketed, seven were stopped its operation, and 22 were towed due to illegal parking. They were netted from Jalan TB Simatupang, Jalan Raden Inten, Jalan DI Panjaitan, and some other points that are prone to traffic violations.

4,335 Vehicles Netted in East Jakarta Since January to December 25

"Especially for vehicles parked illegally, they are grounded at Transportation Sub-agency office and Pinang Ranti Bus Terminal," he said.

He added it was conducted as a deterrent effect.

"So, hopefully, they won't make the same mistake and obey the traffic rules," he hoped.
