The construction of Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) which is located on Jalan RE Martadinata, Papanggo, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta is targeted to be completed in early April 2022.

It is still according to the initial plan, both in terms of time and cost

Currently, the construction progress has reached 98.26 percent. Most of the work is already in the completion stages, including retractable roof, landscaping, and finishing.

"Technically, there are no significant obstacles. It is still according to the initial plan, both in terms of time and cost," said Nadia Diposanjoyo, Division Head of PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) Corporate Secretary and Public Relation, on Tuesday (3/15).

According to her, JIS Soft Launching which was planned to be enlivened by the Youth Championship (IYC) was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Jakpro would make an effort to make it come true soon.

"However, we'll coordinate with the Jakarta Government first to make it come true," she added.

Apart from being used for football matches, the JIS which was designed as the sportainment stadium with FIFA and Platinum Level Green Building certifications were also equipped with various facilities.

Those facilities were provided to support musical performance and other world-class entertainment activities with excellent lighting and sound systems.

Jakpro is currently promoting a public visit program, #YukKitaKeJIS, with the government to introduce JIS features and facilities to the public.
