Emission Test at South Jakarta Mayor's Office Targets 200 Vehicles

The South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency is opening an emission test in the yard of the South Jakarta Mayor's Office on Jalan Prapanca Raya, Kebayoran Baru.

Remember, there will be law enforcement in April, so those who don't pass the test can fix it soon.

Hundreds of two- and four-wheeled vehicles that take part in today's test are devoted to vehicles belonging to civil servants and non-civil servants under the South Jakarta administration. It is targeted to serve around 200 vehicles.

260 Vehicles in East Jakarta Undergo Emission Tests

He disclosed it was aimed at making the air quality in South Jakarta cleaner.

"We're collaborating with 77 workshops to be used as emission test sites," he stated.

LH Sub-agency Head M Amin added that emission test would be a routine agenda every month following the Gubernatorial Regulation number 66/2020 on Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Tests.

"Last year, we held it up to 21 times with a total of 1,573 vehicles being tested," he said.

He added the awareness of residents nowadays is getting higher to conduct emission tests of their vehicles.

"The more residents are realizing the importance of clean air quality, they will do routine maintenance on their vehicles," he concluded.
