100 Officers of Satpol PP Alerted to Monitor Tanah Abang Market Area

As many as 100 officers of East Jakarta Satpol PP have been alerted to monitor the Tanah Abang Market area in a bid to create public order around the area ahead of the upcoming Ramadan.

They are alerted at the location every day

"They are alerted at the location every day. It aims at anticipating street vendors alongside the sidewalk and road," said East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Budhy Novian, Tuesday (3/22).

According to him, they started guarding the Tanah Abang area from 8 AM to 5 PM, precisely from Jalan Taman Jatibaru 2 to the PPKM Command Post at Tanah Abang Market.

Satpol PP to Intensify Monitoring Ahead of Ramadan

As the initial stage, they would be on standby from Monday (3/21) yesterday to Sunday (3/27). If it was needed, it would be extended until Ramadan and ahead of Eid ul-Fitr.

"We also did the same action last year with the same purpose," he closed.
