This event was opened by Jakarta Disparekraf Head Andhika Permata. It invited several resource persons, namely Dini Oktaviyanti (Coordinator of Strategic Studies Kemenparekraf RI), Tulus (Head of Urban Development Innovation Center), Diaz Hendrassukma (General Chairperson of  Jakarta Creative Economy Committee), Robby Wahyudi (Program Director of Catapel id), and was guided by moderators, namely Camelia Harahap (Head of Art and Creative Industries British Council Indonesia) and Novrizal Pratama (General Chairperson of Strong Indonesia Foundation).

"This is more about how the government can analyze, observe the matters related to Tourism and Creative Economy. We must be ready if Jakarta is no longer the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), our strength is in Tourism and Creative Economy. Hopefully, in the future, creative economy entrepreneurs can be facilitated, from its existence, intellectual property rights, until becoming an industry thus they can be commercialized," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID's Press Release, Wednesday (2/23).

The creative economy had enormous development potential in Indonesia with 18.1 million jobs generated and creative economy's contribution to exports that reached US$ 20 billion, according to BPS data in 2019.

As well as in Jakarta, it was a major contributor and the backbone of a new economy for Jakarta, as well as being a model for other regions nationally.

The government saw that the significant economic potential of the creative economy should be facilitated with a grand design to develop 17 creative economy sub-sectors.

With a grand design, they hoped it could be a starting point in making a roadmap for the development process of 17 creative economy sub-sectors in Jakarta.

The creative economy roadmap was also expected to be a guideline for a creative economy development strategy that was sustainable and beneficial for the community and economy in Jakarta.
