One Week, 1,680 People Caught in South Jakarta during Mask Operation

The South Jakarta Government has noted that as many as 1,680 residents from 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta were caught In the mask operation held on March 14-20, 2022, during PPKM Level 2.

Similar operation is also carried out in hundreds restaurants

South Jakarta Satpol PP Head Ujang Harmawan mentioned his side continued to monitor public compliance with health protocols by holding the mask operation in public spaces.

"Of 1,680 violators, as many as 1,669 are subject to social work sanction and 11 others are subject to administrative fine with a total fine of Rp 550,000," he informed, Thursday (3/24).

His side and Satpol PP at the urban village and sub-district levels also collaborated with related agencies to take firm action by disbanding crowds in 31 locations.

"Similar operation is also carried out in hundreds of restaurants. As a result, we don't find any violations in 359 restaurants. But 3 restaurants are subject to written sanction and 1 restaurant is subject to a temporary closing for 1x24 hours," he explained.

It was also conducted in 102 offices across 10 sub-districts in South Jakarta. One office was given a written warning.

"During monitoring in 203 other business places, we have given written warnings to 14 business places that violate health protocols. While the rest have complied with the applicable regulations," he stated.
