East Jakarta Mayor's Office Opens Difabis Coffee Shops with Voluntary Payment

The East Jakarta Mayor's Office is now equipped with various attractive facilities for visitors which were inaugurated by Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan on Tuesday (3/29).
The coffe e shops are managed by people with disabilities
There are Dekranasda products showroom, Difabis Coffee N Tea Digital Cafe, Interactive Space (Saung Interaktif), Jakpreneur Gallery, Green House, and Digital Reading Corner.
From those facilities, there are two unique coffee shops behind Block D1 Building of the Mayor's Office. Just like other coffee shops, it also provides tea and coffee on its menu. What makes it special is the employees who are people with physical disabilities and the deaf. Moreover, customers who want to enjoy their menus are asked to pay voluntarily.
Disdukcapil Intensifies Data Collection on People with DisabilitiesEast Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar stated the coffee shops opened from 07:30 to 16:00 every weekday.
"The coffee shops are
managed by people with disabilities, the deaf, and people with physical disabilities," he added.East Jakarta Baznas Bazis Coordinator Eka Napisah stated people with disabilities were empowered thus they could be independent.
"They offer milk coffee with brown sugar, coffee milk with pandan, teh tarik, and other menus," he conveyed.
While other facilities were the result of collaboration with CSR. They were provided to educate the public and offer additional services to residents who visit the East Jakarta Mayor's Office.
"We want people who visit it to feel safe and comfortable. They can build greenhouses, reading corners, coffee shops, and so on. But it must be adjusted to the existing land," he said.
