Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of March 31

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of March 31.

The number of people tested last week has reached 91,237

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated, the number of active cases in Jakarta today decreased by 591 cases, bringing the number of active cases to 6,529 (people who are still being treated/isolated).

"Meanwhile, 3T efforts continue to be intensified, in addition to the COVID-19 vaccination which is also still ongoing with a wider scope," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Thursday (3/31).

Latest Data on COVID-19 Cases and Vaccination in Jakarta as of March 30, 2022

Based on the latest data, the PCR tests had been carried out on 15,821 specimens. 14.238 of them were to diagnose new cases with 729 positive and 13,509 negative results. In addition, an antigen test was also held today, where 22,416 were tested, with 356 positive results and 22,060 negative results.

She furthered the WHO test target is 1,000 people tested by PCR per million populations per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is a minimum of 10,645 people tested per week.

"This target has been surpassed by Jakarta for some time. The number of people tested last week has reached 91,237, while 974,765 people have undergone the PCR tests," she added.

Of these cases, 1,216,040 people have been cured with a cure rate of 98.2%, and 15,167  people died with a world with a death rate of 1.2%, while Indonesia's death rate was 2.6%. The positivity rate in the last week in Jakarta was 5.7%, while in Indonesia was 11.9%. WHO also set a standard percentage of positive cases of no more than 5%.

Meanwhile, the vaccination process is still ongoing. The total vaccination dose 1 was currently 12,471,444 people (123.7%), with a proportion of 70.2% was residents of Jakarta and 29.8% were non-residents of Jakarta. Then the number of people being vaccinated in a 1-day dose is as many as 3,235 people. The total vaccination dose 2 now reached 10,562,971 people (104.8%), with a proportion of 73.4% was residents of Jakarta and 26.6% were non-residents of Jakarta. The number of people being vaccinated on the 2-day dose was 4,971 people.

As for the third dose (booster) vaccination was also carried out. The updated total third dose was 2,531,827 people and the number of people who get vaccinated with the 3-day dose was 72,329 people.

The Jakarta Satpol PP continues to intensify the health protocol monitoring during PPKM Level 2 in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.

Based on the daily reports on March 30, there had been a total fine of Rp 900,000 from the raid results during PPKM Level 2 period against residents without masks. In addition, one other place of business was temporarily closed.

To get the vaccine, residents can go to the vaccination site. However, to speed up vaccination, they must register online via the JAKI app or corona.jakarta.go.id/vaksinasi. By registering online, they may choose the schedule and place of vaccination themselves, as well as be able to pre-screening online tests.
