The Jakarta Government continues to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
PCR in Jakarta has now reached 973,427 per million population
Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia explained, based on the latest data from Jakarta Health Agency, the number of active cases in Jakarta today increased by 63 cases, thus total active cases as of today reached 7,120 cases (people who are still in treatment/isolation).
"People should be aware of Omicron variant transmission which is on the rise in Jakarta. While COVID-19 vaccination is still proceeding with a broader scope, 3T should be intensified," she said according to a press release issued by Jakarta PPID on Wednesday (3/30).
Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Figures as of March 29Data from the Jakarta Health Agency detailed that from a total of 15,468 PCR specimens, 14,185 people had been tested today to diagnose new cases which resulted in 901 positive and 13,284 negative cases.
Antigen test was also carried out today on 22,606 people with 417 positive and 22,189 negative results. Please note that positive antigen results in Jakarta were not included in total positive cases because all of them were reconfirmed by PCR.
From total positive cases, 1,214,728 people recovered with a recovery rate of 98.2% and 15,159 people died with a mortality rate of 1.2%. While the mortality rate in Indonesia reached 2.6%.
On the other hand, the WHO test targets 1,000 people using PCR per one million population per week (not specimens), meaning that the WHO target for Jakarta is at least 10,645 people should be tested per week.
"This target has been exceeded by Jakarta for some time. In the past week, 93,178 people were tested using PCR. While the number of people tested for PCR in Jakarta has now reached 973,427 per million population," she added.
The positivity rate in Jakarta in the past week
reached 6%, while the percentage of positive cases in total reached 11.9%. WHO also set standard positive cases percentage should be no more than 5%.Meanwhile, the vaccination program is continued. The first dose had been given to 12,468,209 people (123.6%) with a proportion of 70.2% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 29.8% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. From that amount, 8,955 people had been injected with the first dose today.
The second dose had been given to 10,558,000 people (104.7%) with a proportion of 73.4% of them were residents with Jakarta ID cards and 26.6% residents with non-Jakarta ID cards. Of that amount, 6,260 people had been injected with the second dose today.
The third dose (booster) had been given to 2,459,498 people as of today. Of that amount, 53,230 people had been injected with the third dose today.
Jakarta Satpol PP also gives sanctions for anyone who does not wear a mask and violates health protocols and intensifies guest book data collection, as well as other forms of PPKM violations, such as in restaurants, business places, and industrial places. The imposed sanctions are in form of social work, fines, temporary suspension of activity, and revocation of business license.
Based on the daily report submitted by Jakarta Satpol PP on March 29, 2022, they had conducted a mask operation and collected Rp 1,500,000 in fines.
